Book Review!

I have decided to do a book review today. The book is called "Graceling" by Kristin Cashore. It's a good book. It's a different take on the usual gifted people type fantasy. The gifts or graces as they are called in the book, range from things like being amazing at tree climbing, to being able to read peoples minds, to super strength. The people that are graced will at one point in their life have their eyes settle and change colour. So being graced, unlike in other stories or movies where people have gifts, actually makes you stand out by having 2 different eye colours. But like some stories or comic books like X-Men (although the gifts aren't to the extreme like theirs) the people that are graced are treated with suspicion and are out casted unless they could be valuable to their king. So the story revolves around 2 gracelings, that eventually set out on their own to find out why one of their grand parents were kidnapped. In the end they find out why, but it also leaves some questions unanswered so their could be another book the author is planning, although hasn't started as of yet. She has come out with a prequel-ish type book that I haven't read yet, but do intend to. So yay for being a fast reader and reading "Graceling" in a day, and now hopefully the library has "Fire" so I can read that.
